CFA Scholarship from Sep 2020 to Aug 2021

The CFA designation

A chartered financial analyst (CFA) is a globally-recognized professional designation given by the CFA Institute, that measures and certifies the competence and integrity of financial analysts. CFA charter holder is highly appreciated by banks, funds and other financial institutes domestically and globally.

The CFA examination and enrollment fee (for level I candidate) is around $1150 - $1900 based on the registration time.

CFA Scholarship

Students of the Faculty of Finance and Banking – Ton Duc Thang University have the opportunity to receive up to $1550 scholarship. Specifically, students who are awarded the scholarship only pay $350 in total for the CFA examination (including the enrollment fee).

Eligibility

Students in year 3 or year 4 of the Faculty of Finance and Banking.

Application process

  1. Step 1

Register online at: https://www.cfainstitute.org/programs/cfa/scholarships/student

  1. Step 2

Send an email to: luongkimlong@tdtu.edu.vn

  • Subject: “CFA Scholarship Application”
  • Content:
    • Your full name, student ID, class.
    • Confirmation that you’ve completed the application in Step 1.
    • Your email used to register for the CFA account (in Step 1).
    • A short essay (200-250 words) in English, describe how valuable is this opportunity to you.
    • Your most recent GPA.
    • Your extracurricular score of the two most recent semesters.
    • The CFA exam date you are going to attend

Applications are received from 1st to 20th on a monthly basis.

  1. Step 3

Receive your scholarship result on 26th.

  1. Step 4

Complete the application and pay the examination fee on the official CFA Insitute website. Students will have seven months to register for an exam and redeem the scholarship award.

  1. Step 5

Reply to the email in step 2, attach the confirmation of the registration in Step 4.

Notes:

  • The scholarship can NOT be converted to cash. Students should NOT register for the exam before receiving the scholarship result.
