On 18th October 2017, Faculty of Finance and Banking welcomed Ms. Florence Wong, University Relations Manager, Asia Pacific, CFA Institute – Hongkong. In the seminar, Ms. Florence Wong provided important information on CFA program, CFA examination, and skills related to CFA examination. Ms. Florence Wong and Faculty of Finance and Banking discussed on scholarships for students and lecturers, and cooperation opportunities between the Faculty and CFA institute – Hongkong.
The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program is a professional credential offered internationally by the American-based CFA Institute to investment and finance professionals. The program covers a broad range of topics relating to investment management, financial analysis, stocks, bonds, and derivatives, and provides a generalist knowledge of other areas of finance. The CFA program has been well recognized in 130 countries. In Vietnam, there are 210 CFA charterholders, 195 CFA charter pending, and more than 1,000 actively enrolled candidates. The high-quality program of Faculty of Finance and Banking incorporates the CFA curriculum into the bachelor degree programs and since April 2017, the program is recognized as CFA Institute University Recognition Program. After the four years program, the students of the high-quality program will be able to participate in Level 1 CFA examination which will be a competitive advantage to students in seeking their future job.
