Opening Round II - The 1st National Student Securities Investment Competition

On September 27, 2022, at Ton Duc Thang University, 19 Nguyen Huu Tho, District 7, City. In Ho Chi Minh City, the 1st Securities Investment Competition for students of universities and colleges nationwide named “INVESTMENT CHALLENGE 2022” – (“IC Contest 2022”) was organized by the Competition Organizing Committee solemnly opened the ROUND II – ACTUAL INVESTMENT EXPERIENCE.
Attending the opening ceremony were Dr. Nghiem Quy Hao - Director of the Center for Applied Economics Research and Training Ton Duc Thang University - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest; Dr. Nguyen Duy Suu, Chief Technical Advisor of the Competition - Head of Investment Department, Faculty of Finance and Banking, Ton Duc Thang University; Mr. Nguyen Anh Kiet – Sales Director of SSI Securities Company (CN Nguyen Cong Tru), Member of the Competition Jury and keynote speaker of the training course for candidates entering Round II on practical skills Real investment with real money, real accounts at securities companies and nearly 100 contestants won the right to Round II. Participating in the Opening Ceremony and Round 2 training course, there was also the presence of the runner-up INVESTMENT CHALLENGE 2021 - R.U.N team, to share the valuable experiences the team has received during the time participating in the INVESTMENT CHALLENGE 2021 competition. 

At the end of the first round of the Contest, with the participation of students from more than 80 universities and colleges nationwide, the Contest Organizing Committee selected the TOP 100 candidates with excellent results. Best in Round I - online objective test nationwide (takes place on September 12-14, 2022). Winning the right to the contest's second round had students from 15 universities across the country, including contestants from universities and academies in the northern provinces and Hanoi. The central region has representatives from Hue University. The Contest's Organizing Committee has announced the rankings and scores of each contestant who won the right to enter Round II of the Contest. At the same time, at the Opening Ceremony, the Competition Organizing Committee honored the valedictorian of Round I of the Contest, contestant Nguyen Viet Nga, from the Faculty of Finance and Banking, University of Economics and Law, Ho Chi Minh City.

Immediately after the Opening Ceremony and this Round II training course, the Organizing Committee will introduce the teams entering Round II to the securities companies NH Vietnam; Mirae Asset (Vietnam); FPT Securities Company, and SSI Securities Company to open an account, receive investment capital and conduct investment in a period of 02 months, from October 1, 2022, to October 30, 2022. The 10 teams with the highest profitability in Round II will be selected for the Final Round of the Contest, which is scheduled to take place in Ho Chi Minh City on December 12, 2022.
