Function and Mission
The Faculty of Finance and Banking is a Faculty at Ton Duc Thang University is responsible for the following functions and missions:
1. The Faculty is entrusted with the responsibility of organizing and managing the training activities in the fields of finance, banking and other assigned areas include designing training programs; creating detailed subject outlines; compiling, evaluating and selecting textbooks and teaching materials; organizing training sessions, creating teaching and learning plans that align with the overall university’s general teaching plan; creating method of testing, assessing student’s outcomes; participating in admission events;
2. Organizing to develop training programs and projects that align with the development orientation of university and the social demand; cooperating with technology and science institutes, enterprises, other relevant organizations; engaging enterprises in our training sessions;
3. Organizing science and technology initiatives, both within Vietnam and internationally. These activities include: designing plans to develop science and technology; cooperating in Vietnam and Oversea following University’s development strategies; engaging investment and innovating creation in science and technology; organizing research on science and technology development; organizing Journal Club, conducting attached training with science research; engaging international cooperation in training;
4. Managing official staffs is in the charge of the faculty including advising the University’s development plan on mid and long term lecturers; seeking for suitable candidates to supplement the professional force; organizing recruitment councils, receiving personnel recruited by the University; guiding and training new personnel; creating plan for training programs aimed at enhancing professional qualifications of faculty staff; is responsible for ongoing process of training teaching staff as well as researcher of faculty so that the faculty develops quality, discipline and responsibility for general goals of the faculty and university; monitoring and evaluating teaching staff performance, assessing effectiveness, proposing rewards, disciplinary;
5. Managing learners in the charge of the faculty including managing learners, responsible for educating learners on discipline, community spirit, respect for law, following university’s rules and regulations, responsible for studies and future career; ensuring training staffs with combination expertise and disciplinary; organizing events so that students learn and practice following relevant regulations, rules, responsibilities and rights or learners at university;
6. Implement quality assurance in the charge of faculty, including: assessing learning outcomes and identifying areas for growth; monitoring and ensuring quality of faculty’s activities; continue to innovate method of teaching, applying digital technology to teaching and assessing learning outcomes and other relevant jobs;
7. Managing physical facilities falls under the responsibility and authority entrusted by the University; ensuring university’s investments are effectively utilized, in accordance with approved budgets and equipment provisioning plans; proposing procurement, utilization, and maintenance of assets purchased for the department in an efficient manner;
8. Performing reports, statistics and other tasks assigned by the University.
