Creative start-up and successful experience of Finnish start-up entrepreneurs

On the morning of April 10, 2019 at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), a seminar with the theme "Impossible is nothing, Finnish ecosystem and innovation" was organized successfully. The speaker of the seminar were Mr. Peter Vesterbacka and his friends from Edunation, an organization operating in the field of promoting Finnish education and start-up development. The seminar attracted more than 1,000 students from TDTU.

At the beginning of the seminar, the Speaker shared about Rovio Company (Manufacturer of world famous Angry Birds game apps) and his start-up experience. He said that Finland has only 5 million people, but it is rated by the United Nations as the happiest country in the world. The most important reason is that Finland has an advanced education that values each of its citizens’ education with the philosophy that "Human resources as the wealth of nations".

According to Mr. Vesterbacka and Finnish experts, starting a business is not affected by cultural differences, but in the entrepreneurship of each person. In Finland, students are encouraged to start a business and be employers. They have the right to make mistakes and grow from their own mistakes. Above all, Finnish people are willing to share their business experience because they think that when sharing, they will get good ideas, and sincere suggestions which will create success for start-ups.

Starting a business does not only require thinking, but more importantly, it is necessary to have the right attitude expressed in determination, confidence, proactively turning dreams into reality and ambition to overcome challenges at the beginning of the start-up journey. Moreover, starting a business cannot be done alone, it is necessary to have partners to build a network - a diverse community in the field from production to marketing, and to be able to face challenges and achieve sustainable success.
