Ton Duc Thang University Opens Doctoral and Master’s Training Programs, Intake 2 – 2025

On January 31, 2026, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held the Opening Ceremony for its doctoral and master’s training programs, Intake 2 of the 2025 admissions cycle.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau, Vice President of Ton Duc Thang University, along with leaders and lecturers from faculties and postgraduate offices, representatives of units with doctoral candidates and master’s students, as well as related departments and administrative units.

In this intake, the University issued decisions recognizing 16 doctoral candidates admitted to the doctoral training program, and 156 students admitted to the master’s training programs, including both research-oriented and application-oriented tracks. Among them, the Faculty of Finance and Banking admitted 10 research-oriented master’s students in Intake 2 of the 2025 admissions cycle.
In her remarks at the Opening Ceremony, Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau – Vice President of Ton Duc Thang University, extended her congratulations to the newly admitted doctoral candidates and master’s students. She expressed her hope that the new learners would make full use of the University’s academic support and learning environment to further develop their research capacity, enhance their professional expertise, and successfully complete their programs with excellent outcomes, thereby becoming a high-quality human resource contributing to the country’s socio-economic development.
To create the most favorable conditions for doctoral candidates and master’s students, the University has continuously maintained and developed a comprehensive postgraduate education ecosystem, including the organization of international conferences, workshops, and academic seminars with experts and researchers from prestigious universities and research institutes around the world.
 

Dr. Nguyen Ho Khanh Van – Acting Head of the Postgraduate Office, announces the Decisions recognizing doctoral candidates and master’s students admitted in Intake 2 – 2025, and extends congratulations to the new doctoral candidates and master’s students. 

Representing the newly admitted students in this intake, Ms. Phan Thi Dieu Thuy, a master’s student in the Computational Science program, expressed her gratitude to the University’s Board of Management and leadership for their continuous support, care, and favorable conditions for study and research. She also affirmed her determination to make sustained efforts throughout her study at the University in order to achieve the best possible academic outcomes.

The Opening Ceremony also inspired enthusiasm and motivation for postgraduate study and research through the commendation and awarding of scholarships to doctoral candidates and master’s students, with scholarship support covering 100% and 50% of tuition fees.
Following the Opening Ceremony, representatives of the Faculty of Finance and Banking held an orientation session with newly admitted students of the Finance and Banking program. Specifically, Dr. Le Bao Thy – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, met with the new students to review academic regulations, introduce the training program and study roadmap, and share information on future career opportunities. She also highlighted opportunities for scientific research collaboration with faculty members, participation in international specialized conferences, and publication in reputable journals in the fields of Economics and Finance.
Through this session, Ms. Ho Thi Cam Tu – Faculty Academic Affairs Officer, provided guidance to the new students on study plan registration, course enrollment procedures, and addressed their questions and concerns.

Postgraduate education is one of the key missions and strategic objectives of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) in its roadmap toward becoming a world-class research university by 2037. Over the years, TDTU graduates at the master’s level have achieved many notable accomplishments and currently hold important and key positions in government agencies, departments, enterprises, and research institutes both domestically and internationally. Many graduates have attained excellent academic results, demonstrated strong research capacity, and published scientific works in reputable journals indexed in Scopus/ISI.
These achievements contribute significantly to affirming the quality of training, institutional standing, and academic reputation of TDTU within the higher education and postgraduate education system. Notably, the Master’s program in Finance and Banking has achieved international accreditation by FIBAA, valid from September 20, 2023, to September 19, 2028.
