Seminar with CFA Representatives at Ton Duc Thang University

On November 7, 2023, the Faculty of Banking and Finance had the privilege of welcoming representatives from the CFA Institute. During the meeting with lecturers and students of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, expert Florence Wong, Director, Partnerships and Client Solutions, APAC at CFA Institute, provided essential information related to the CFA Institute, the CFA program, CFA exams, scholarships, and support for students participating in CFA certification exams. The dean and lecturers of the Faculty of Finance and Banking also engaged in discussions with CFA Institute representatives regarding potential opportunities for deepening cooperation between the Faculty and the CFA Institute.

The meeting also had the honor of hosting Mr. Vo Sang Xuan Vinh, CFA, Chairman of the CFA Vietnam Community. Mr. Vinh is one of the first CFA Charterholders in Vietnam, with over 20 years of experience in the fields of consulting and private capital investment and having held key positions in fund management companies. Mr. Vinh shared a multi-dimensional perspective on financial investment with the students of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, as well as an employer's viewpoint on the CFA certificate.

During the meeting, Mr. Vo Minh Duong, CFA, Chief Strategy Officer of amiCoach Academy, an official CFA training partner in Vietnam, also shared the content of the CFA program and its application in financial management at enterprises. Mr. Duong further provided a brief test to help students determine the most suitable career paths for themselves.

The meeting has opened up more potential for future collaboration between the representatives of the CFA Institute and the Faculty of Banking and Finance at Ton Duc Thang University.

Since April 2017, the Faculty of Finance and Banking's high-quality training program has earned recognition from the CFA Institute as a program aligning with CFA standards. Students enrolled in this program have the opportunity to study subjects in accordance with the CFA curriculum, in addition to their regular coursework. After four years of training, students in the high-quality program will possess the knowledge and skills required to successfully complete the CFA Level 1 exam. This will give them a significant advantage in their future careers.
