On August 21, 2024, the Faculty of Finance and Banking at Ton Duc Thang University was honored to welcome Professor Sheng-Tung Chen, Dean of the Faculty of Finance, Fengchia University, Taiwan. This is an important event, marking the development of the cooperative relationship between the two universities.

During this visit, Professor Chen had the opportunity to tour the modern facilities of Ton Duc Thang University, including the library, gymnasium, and many other facilities. Notably, the professor visited and highly appreciated the Bank and Securities Simulation Room of the Finance and Banking Faculty. His positive remarks about the modern equipment and technology here motivate the Faculty to continue improving and developing the quality of education.

A meeting between representatives from the Faculty of Finance of Fengchia University and the Faculty of Finance and Banking of Ton Duc Thang University took place on the morning of the same day in Meeting Room C. Both sides exchanged views on students and the 2+2 dual degree joint program between Fengchia University, Taiwan, and Ton Duc Thang University. The first graduating class of the 2+2 dual degree joint program also marked the success of the 2+2 dual degree joint program between Ton Duc Thang University and Fengchia University (Taiwan) and the effective partnership between the two universities in implementing this academic joint program. Both sides also discussed updating the training program for the new year to enhance teaching quality in line with developments and compliance with educational system regulations. In addition, representatives of both sides discussed the potential for future cooperation, especially the student and lecturer exchange program between the two universities. The consensus on these cooperation directions promises to bring many learning and research opportunities for students and lecturers of both sides.

Professor Chen's visit not only strengthened the relationship between Ton Duc Thang University and Fengchia University but also opened up many prospects for broader cooperation in finance and banking.

The 2+2 Dual Degree Joint Program with Fengchia University, Taiwan

Feng Chia University was established in 1961. The university is located in the urban area of Taichung City, one of the three major cities in Taiwan (Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung). The university has 32 facilities and 15 research institutes. The faculty consists of 604 members, including 134 professors, 260 associate professors, and 81 assistant professors. The university has over 20,000 students, including over 1,500 international students. To date, the university has a total alumni base of 170,000. Feng Chia University is a popular choice for many international students due to its diverse range of majors offered in English or Chinese.

Since 2008, Feng Chia University has consistently been ranked in the top 10 for the quality of its graduates, as evaluated by 1,000 leading Taiwanese enterprises. In terms of achievements, Feng Chia University is the only comprehensive university recognized by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan as an " Exemplary Institution - Outstanding Performance."
